I’m Andrew Taylor, author of Apathy, and I’m suddenly feeling very self-concious. I’m a 21-year-old fourth-year physics student at Leeds University, and I’m about to move in with people I barely know because that just the kind of crazy guy I’d like you to believe I am. I enjoy (but am not very good at) playing piano, singing karaoke, drinking, and putting the world to rights like the grumpy old man I don’t want you to know I am. But not all at once because the pub hasn’t got a live music license, so we’re not allowed to play instuments. In any case I’m damned if I’m hauling that thing all the way into town.
